Join us for a hands-on evening of sushi making, where you'll learn the foundational skills to confidently roll at home. We'll cover how to make perfectly seasoned sushi rice, where to source high-quality ingredients, and how to identify fresh, sushi-grade fish. You'll also learn the differences between sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and maki—and how to build your own unique roll with a variety of flavor options.

Together, we’ll be making (and enjoying):

  • Spicy Tuna Maki

  • Yuzu Salmon Maki

  • Seaweed Salad

  • Miso Soup

  • Your own custom sushi roll with mix-and-match ingredients

Ready to dive into the world of sourdough? Join us for Sourdough for Beginners, a fully hands-on class designed to remove the fuss and fear from baking your own beautiful loaves at home!

In this interactive session, you’ll learn everything you need to know to start your sourdough journey with confidence:
Caring for Your Starter – Learn how to tend, feed, and maintain a thriving sourdough culture. You’ll even get to take home a jar of my personal starter, Patxi!
Hydration Ratios & Beginner-Friendly Dough – Discover the best ratios for success and how they impact your final loaf.
Stretch & Fold Technique – Master this essential skill to build strength and structure in your dough.
Fermentation & Gut Health – Explore the science behind sourdough and why it’s so beneficial for digestion.
Shaping & Scoring – Practice shaping a perfect loaf and learn the art of scoring for both aesthetics and oven spring.
Bake Your Own Loaf – Experience the magic of sourdough baking in real-time!

TASTE & ENJOY! Throughout class, we’ll be indulging in crusty, fresh-baked sourdough, paired with grass-fed butter, flaky salt, and a variety of jams and spreads—because what’s better than warm sourdough with delicious toppings?

Each participant will leave with:
A jar of live sourdough starter (Patxi’s offspring!)
A fresh-baked loaf, warm from the oven
A shaped, unbaked loaf to ferment overnight and bake fresh for Easter morning

This class is all about simplifying sourdough—no unnecessary fuss, just the essential techniques, tips, and muscle memory to help you bake with confidence. Whether you're a total beginner or have dabbled in sourdough before, you’ll walk away ready to impress your family and friends with homemade, bakery-worthy loaves!
